(Beijing, October 14) In the bronze-medal match in the men's doubles held this morning, Xu Chen/Sun Junjie outplayed Zhang Lei/He Qi to take the bronze with 2-1 (21-6, 16-21, 21-11).

Xu/Sun and Zhang/He are No. 3 and 4 seeds at the tournament. Under the pressure of Xu/Sun's fierce attacks Zhang/He seemed unable to launch any effective counterattack. It was also hard for them to score before the tight defense of Xu/Sun, who soon took the game by a wide margin of 21-6.

In the second game, Zhang/He adjusted their tactics and played consistently till they clinched the game 21-16. The score was then tied at 1-1.

In the deciding game, Xu Chen/Sun Junjie regained the control of the game and forced Zhang/He again into a difficult position. Though Zhang/He tried hard to fight back, the game eneded with 21-11 in favor of Xu/Sun.
